About Us
Meet Trina and Margie
Friends since 2001, Margie and Trina love building community, particularly when it involves personal and spiritual development and the outdoors. We are registered yoga teachers with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200, RYT-500, respectively) with a focus on alignment-based vinyasa yoga. As a teaching duo, we offer more individual feedback and hands-on support than your average studio class. With lots of love and laughter, we meet you where you are.
Trina Currier
Trina is certified in alignment-based vinyasa at the RYT® 500+ level from teachers Hillary Acer, Jason Crandell, and Annie Carpenter. Trina has been practicing Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga for more than 25 years. She is also certified as a Level 1 Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga teacher by Judith Hanson Lasater. She has also practiced meditation for more than 10 years, including multiple retreats and courses with Dan Brown, Mark Coleman, Caroline Cory (OMnium Method), and others at Esalen, Spirit Rock, and beyond. Formerly a classroom teacher and teacher-coach, she is a lifelong learner and self-help seeker, having taken many courses in personal transformation, communication, and relationships over the years. Nature has always been an inspiration for her meditation and spiritual practices, even as a young child. She has a passion for all things green and promotes sustainable living through volunteer work with GreenTown Los Altos. Margie loves playing in nature, cooking, crafts of all sorts, and woodworking.
Maisie
Our resident dog, Maisie, is available for cuddles and kisses. Oh, and for demonstrating some serious downward dog!
The Yellow House
Once a family guest house, a Dungeons & Dragons tavern, a homeschool, and a start-up office, now The Yellow House is our beloved yoga studio. This beautiful space, set in a wooded back yard in downtown Palo Alto, is home to our weekly yoga classes.
